Let's pretend, for a moment, that plants cannot percieve anything. They simply exist with no thought, no peceptions. And now let's imagine further that nothing exists except for plants. Nothing but living beings with the inability to understand that the universe is exists. In this hypothetical world, does the universe actually exist? Does it take perception for existance to be real? This isn't the same thinking as a tree falling in a forest. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to hear it, it does indeed make a sound because human beings believe in sound and have faith that sounds are occuring all over the place at this very instant. We believe that the air around the tree did indeed vibrate making sounds. I can't see my face right now, but I still believe that my head is in place. But if living things occupy the universe, but they can't grasp the idea of themselves existing, do they actually exist at all?
I know the answer: It's most certainly bedtime.
Ps- the key is the middle. not neutrality, but just this place in the middle of it all. you'll see.
