The sea of Objects
2005-09-28 - 3:46 p.m.

The rain has become other bits and pieces of matter. Water has left this world, and all that was once made of water now has to be replaced with other odds and ends. There is this terrible confusion. Has anybody seen the ocean? I stepped onto the beach, walked along the dry dry sand, and gaped at the endlessness of a waterless ocean. What had become of it? O let me tell you. Let me recount the confusing exchange. On and on for vast distances flowed waves of every item imaginable. From cutlery, to small creatures, to electronic devices, to short stretches of highway, to crown moulding, to microphones, to various articles of clothing. I spotted the habitat for gorillas from my local zoo. It was only a few miles away, and was bouncing and spinning as that sea of objects waved away. My mind raced at the sight of it. Can you imagine. Eventually, this peculiar thought nibbled my mind. Isn't the human body made up of a rather large amount of water? Prompted by that thought, I looked down at myself and realized that a lot of my body had been replaces with a small canoe.

The world gets stanger with each passing day. Perhaps this is all there is. Perhaps somebody took the ocean for granted, the mood got awkward, and eventually all the water in our world just up and left. It's just a theory. I can't imagine water has had a very easy time here on Earth. But I digress. I need a new blender, for I crave a blended beverage. I thought I saw one bobbing just off the coast, and I plan to wade myself through furniture and business suits to grab it. Perhaps life can go on quite comfortably with this new waterless arrangement.
